Mohd Haziq bin Ismail
Systems analyst turned ML practitioner · Kuala Lumpur
Challenge
Haziq had been working in IT for seven years but had no formal background in statistics or programming beyond Excel. He wanted to move into ML engineering but didn't know where a career change at 32 would realistically start.
Approach
He started with AI Foundations, then enrolled in the Machine Learning Track six weeks later. The structured progression meant he wasn't repeating concepts or skipping prerequisites.
Outcome
After completing both tracks over five months, Haziq moved into a junior ML role at a fintech company in KL. He credits the two project portfolios with giving him something concrete to discuss in interviews.

Challenge

Outcome
Yi Lin's thesis included a section on model deployment that drew directly on techniques from the programme. She published a conference paper using the methodology twelve weeks after completing the track.
